This article looks at the privileged relationship that David Sassoli had with Portugal a time when presidency of European Parliament was shared Council Europe entrusted to António Costa. President Sassoli's speeches Social Summit held in city Porto on 7 and 8 May 2021 represent synthesis his socio-cultural geopolitical vision. The Conference Future Europe, which opened 17 June 2021, ended unfortunately already left us.
